The apartment Kandahar is situated in the charming alpine village of Les Houches.  Les Houches is situated at the foot of Mont Blanc in the Chamonix valley.  It is 8km from Chamonix and less than an hour from Geneva airport. 

The apartment is ideally situated at the bottom of the Bellevue ski lift, offering  ski in ski out accommodation.  It is also located in the heart of the village with restaurants, bars and ski hire shops on your doorstep.

Les Houches has retained its alpine charm being quieter than its busy neighbour Chamonix, with a pretty church and a market every Monday morning, boulangerie, local bars, restaurants and supermarkets.  If you do desire the bright lights the bus to Chamonix for either skiing or apres ski stops directly outside the apartment, and also runs all summer.  If you want to come on holiday with another family we can often arrange accommodation within the same building - so you're together but have your own space - perfect!

To make life really easy we can arrange for a hot meal to be waiting for you on your arrival , or we can organise a welcome pack ranging from the basics to luxuary packs including champagne!

Skiing in Les Houches is extremely varied and together with the neighbouring resorts in the Chamonix valley provides endless descents for all abilities.  In fact the world famous Kandahar world cup downhill race finishes just next to our building! 

From the apartment you can watch the lift queues - too long have another cup of coffee!

In the summer  Les Houches becomes a beautiful vibrant landscape with colourful mountains providing a perfect setting for hiking, cycling, white water rafting, plus many other activities.
